A new study came out that observed specific postural adaptations that are related to Asthma severity. As a Certified Posture Neurologist, I am particularly interested in posture correction and find this to be very exciting. It could be that, since specific postures are related to the severity of Asthma, correcting these postures might decrease the severity of a patient’s Asthma symptoms. Anyone who has been suffering from Asthma or anyone who’s loved ones do, know how debilitating this disease can be. Controlling symptoms of this disease is the key to Asthma treatment.

“Our data suggest that severe asthmatic children present postural adaptations and muscle shortening that seem to be related to disease severity.”

I am hopeful that further studies will give us more direction in natural treatments, avoiding the side effects of typical medications used to treat this disease.
